I have set myself a range of targets for next year in G324 which i believe will let me progress further in A level Media Studies.
For example to progress i will take more consideration in lighting and camera composition in the filming stage as my G321 filming process was slightly disrupted by the over toned dark lighting throughout the film which was supported by other audiences views on our opening 2 minutes. Also our camera composition was a bit shaky in areas of the filming which could be improved by using dynamic angles on the tripod to steady the camera in difficult positions.
If there was anything I would do differently it would be the the planning process towards my film; the planning stage was not well planned and this affected our overall mark. I would also improve the length of my blogs as they are not as detailed compared to my classmates blogs.
In my next production that i will create in G324 i will improve my blogs because I was more focused on the editing stage of my film and next year I will focus on my film creation skills dramatically by concentrating more in the editing process of the trailer.
The one last thing I could improve and take into G324 with me is my improvement and understanding of the media terminology and I will focus on the the four main technical areas. One of these would be the mise-en-scene; during the production stages Connor and I didn't give much thought to the mise-en0scene, this is evident in the film with the main characters wearing an open shirt. We also didn't use many props which could improve our film as it could add a new action scene or more intense scenes-this would improve the experience for our audience and make it more interesting keeping the audience on the edge of their seats until the end.

Looking back to your preliminary task, what do you feel that you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product? (Evaluation Activity 7)
I feel that I have learnt a lot in the time between filming my preliminary and my final film. I have learnt about the importance of camera angles and choosing a location which is best for my situation (action). We created our AS preliminary task film "Viet-Con" using adobe premiere elements because of the efficiency of Creating short clips with effective techniques such as the fade in fade out tool which was used in the begining and end of our film. I have also learnt a lot about the general conventions of films, as I have looked at many types of film during my planning so i can now pick out certain aspects and conventions of films in any clip i watch/analyse for example suspense in horror, and fast cuts in action films which we used in our clip.
What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing the product? (Evaluation Activity 6)
I have also learnt how to use new editing techniques to increase the overall quality of production towards our film for example the speed up tool effect on Connor and James's eyes to give the audience a dynamic POV effect of both characters using this tool. The last main thing I learnt in regards of technology is the power of camera angles, and how important it is to look into choosing the correct setting for shooting because of the instant representation a setting can give off to the audience sub consciously and we also tried to edit a title, but we couldn't quite find the right software to use for our titles.Overall i have learnt alot about the process of creating a product through technology.
